Terms of Service

Last updated 23 August 2026

These terms apply whenever you or your organization use SLApp Helpdesk — the website, the application, the client portal, and the monitoring agent. By signing in, you agree to them.

Who we are

SLApp Helpdesk is operated by Significado Lógico, Lda., based in Amora, Portugal (info@significado-logico.pt). "We", "us" and "our" refer to Significado Lógico; "you" refers to the organization or individual using the service.

The service

SLApp Helpdesk is a remote monitoring and helpdesk platform: an agent you install on the computers you manage, a technician console to track them and handle support tickets, and a client portal for the people you support. What exactly is included depends on your plan.

Accounts and access

Sign-in happens through your Microsoft account — we don't hold a separate password for you. You're responsible for keeping that account secure and for what happens through it, including actions taken by people you've given access to. Tell us immediately at info@significado-logico.pt if you suspect unauthorized access.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are licensed per computer and/or per named user, as agreed for your account; the free Starter plan is capped as described when you sign up. If you go over your plan's limits, we'll ask you to upgrade rather than cutting off access without warning. Invoices are issued according to the periodicity of your plan (monthly, semiannual, or yearly). You can cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for computers and organizations you're actually entitled to monitor and support. In particular, don't:

  • Install the monitoring agent on a device without the authorization needed to do so (your own equipment, or your client's, with their agreement);
  • Try to break, bypass, or overload the service's security or infrastructure;
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written agreement;
  • Use the service to store or transmit unlawful content.

We may suspend access if we reasonably believe an account is being used in breach of these terms, and we'll tell you why.

Your data

You own the data you put into the service — your clients, tickets, and monitoring history. We process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. When your subscription ends, we keep your data for a limited period in case you come back, then delete it.

Availability and support

We work to keep the service reliably available, but we don't promise it will never go down — planned maintenance and unexpected incidents can happen. Support is provided in the way and within the hours agreed for your plan.

Intellectual property

The software, the SLApp Helpdesk name and mark, and everything we build remain ours. Using the service doesn't transfer any of that to you — it gives you a right to use it for as long as your subscription is active.

Liability

We do our best to keep the service accurate and available, but it's provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits) arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

Either of us can end the agreement — you by cancelling your subscription, us by giving reasonable notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (like liability and intellectual property) continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we make a meaningful change, and let active customers know directly about significant ones.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute we can't resolve directly will be submitted to the courts of Portugal.

This page is written in plain language to be genuinely useful, not just to cover us legally — but it's a general description of our terms, not a substitute for legal advice about your own specific situation.
